Candied Pecans – deliciously sweet, crunchy and totally addictive pecans that smell so heavenly and ridiculously good. Perfect for dessert and salad toppings, for snacking or as holiday gifts. Easy and tasty holiday snack!

I’m one of those that love giving homemade treats for Christmas – it makes my life so much easier . The only ones I shop for are the kids.  I have yet to see a wish list with a homemade treat on it .

This year am adding  this indulgent candied snacks on my list .  It could bring your neighbors knocking on your front door with its magical delicious smell. Sweet cinnamon, vanilla extract and Bourbon aroma

Oh, you’ll also be surprised with that little kick from the cayenne pepper to balance the sweetness.

Trust me, you are going to want to grab some right out of the oven before it’s ready- No judging here ,guilty as charged . Almost burned my fingers.  Be careful!

There are two ways of making this additive treat  stove top or oven baked.   What the difference?

The baked  method is made with eggs , only 5-10 minute prep  and the oven does it’s magic  for about 30 minutes with occasional stirring .

While  the stove top requires constant stirring , no eggs – perfect for vegans or those with allergy and takes less amount of time to make . Check out easy steps to make it here , just replace the peanuts with pecans

I find that certain satisfaction when I add them on desserts cause they add a  beautiful texture and flavor. Just see how I work on it with these Italian Cream Cake and Sweet Potato Casserole.

These candied pecans make everything better. You can top them on salads, main dishes and of course desserts. Or you can enjoy eating them by the handful like I do. It’ll even be more special when you get to share these candied goodness to your friends and family as holiday gifts.

Happy holidays! Hope you all are having a great season!

Tips and Notes:

  1. Chopped or halved pecans are the perfect choice for this recipe or you can go with the bigger ones if it satisfies you.

  3.  Level up these sweet treats by enhancing its flavor like adding pumpkin spice or cloves for an aromatic and smoky flavor.
