1. Monse, Mon Amour

This breakout collection was stunning, and strong, and so, so fun. On a basketball-court-turned-runway, archetypal high school babes stormed the stage. There were jocks, nerds, art school girls, loners, overachievers, and prom queens.

They wore reworked versions of modern American everything: off-the-shoulder varsity jackets, tearaway track pants in silk and wool, and skirts like cheerleading pompoms, but leather instead of plastic. (Echoes of Calvin Klein, for sure.) Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia brought their A game, and at least on this court, everybody won.

2. Brandon Maxwell’s Lone Star Love

The Texas native brought hometown pride to models like Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, and Duckie Thot with tailored denim, massive jewels, and ball skirts bigger than a potluck ribeye. I’m a vegetarian so I don’t know if that’s a thing. But this collection certainly will be, especially on red carpets. It was Grace Kelly glamour mixed with drops of diva.

3. Don’t Fight the Fanny Pack

Tory Burch (pictured), Jeremy Scott, and even Kate Spade showed versions of the “belt bag,” aka an elevated fanny pack, today. If you’re game to go hands-free with your accessories, you’ve got lots of options… even a few lust-worthy choices from Gucci.

4. Nicki Never Stops

At 6 pm, she was leaving a fashion show looking like a legend. (See above.) At 6:30, she was sending this tweet to John Mayer. Well played, Ms. Minaj. Damn.
